Job Description

This title entails the role of an Individual Contributor for the first few months of joining, with the opportunity
to build a team of 2 to 3 people in sales. Responsible for Sales & Revenue Generation for the assigned zone, closing deals
with educational institutions. Plan and strategize for self and the teams to build and retain User Educational Institutions
and capture Non-User Schools and other segments over a period of time.

Key Responsibilities –

• Maintaining and increasing sales of the company’s products
• Reaching the targets and goals set for the area
• Establishing, maintaining, and expanding the customer base
• Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
• Setting sales targets for individual reps and your team as a whole
• Recruiting and training sales staff
• Compiling and analyzing sales figures
• Possibly doing account management with some major customer accounts yourself
• Negotiations with School /College Management
• Conduct regular Teachers/ Students/ Management Demo’s / Workshops at the school as per the requirements.
• Collection of pending dues from the schools as & when required to ensure proper inflow of revenue of the company.

Experience –

Minimum 7 years + experience in Publishing (School books) / Education industry

Must have –

  • Strong networking with top officials of education institutions across the zone/area assigned
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Good business sense
  • The ability to motivate and lead a team
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Good communication skills
  • Can work in a start-up culture

Education qualification –

Minimum graduate, an MBA is good to have
